Según la Illuminating Engineering Society (2022), “La iluminación difusa es la iluminación con fuentes de luz que distribuyen entre el 40% y el 60% de la luz emitida hacia abajo y el resto hacia arriba, a veces con un fuerte componente a 90 grados (horizontal).”.
