Merriam-Webster. (n.d.) define que la latitud es “la distancia angular al norte o al sur del ecuador terrestre medida en 90 grados”.

Merriam-Webster (n.d.) defines latitude as “the angular distance north or south of the Earth's equator measured at 90 degrees”.

Acimut Solar

(2014) menciona que ‘’En Estados Unidos, el acimut se define como la distancia angular entre la proyección del sol sobre el horizonte y el sur, es decir, un acimut de 0 grados corresponde al sur, mientras que +90 y -90 grados representan el este y el oeste, respectivamente. El norte corresponde a +180 o -180 grados. En otros países, es habitual tomar el acimut solar en el sentido de las agujas del reloj a partir del norte”.

(2014) mentions that ''In the United States, azimuth is defined as the angular distance between the projection of the sun above the horizon and south, i.e., an azimuth of 0 degrees corresponds to south, while +90 and -90 degrees represent east and west, respectively. North corresponds to +180 or -180 degrees. In other countries, it is customary to take the solar azimuth clockwise from north.”

Altitud Solar

Reinhart, C. (2014) menciona que ‘’La altitud es el ángulo entre el sol y el horizonte suponiendo que no hay ningún edificio o paisaje circundante. Varía de 0 grados durante el amanecer y el atardecer a 90 grados si el sol está directamente por encima del observador. A veces se utiliza el ángulo cenital en lugar de la altitud. Se define como 90 menos la altitud’’.

Reinhart, C. (2014) mentions that ''Altitude is the angle between the sun and the horizon assuming there is no surrounding building or landscape. It varies from 0 degrees during sunrise and sunset to 90 degrees if the sun is directly above the observer. The zenith angle is sometimes used instead of altitude. It is defined as 90 minus altitude''.
